Ao longo da história, o homem tem-se servido de diversos meios para promover e desenvolver o conhecimento, encontrando-se as línguas, as artes e a literatura oral e escrita entre os principais elementos de elaboração cultural, circulação de ideais e transmissão de memória. Numa iniciativa conjunta do CHAM – Centro de Humanidades, NOVA FCSH-UAc, do ISCED – Luanda e do Movimento Literário e Artístico Lev’ Arte, este encontro, que visa homenagear os escritores angolanos Ruy Duarte de Carvalho e António Jacinto, quer ser um espaço de diálogo e de construção de novas redes internacionais, em que se abordem temas culturais contemporâneos que são transversais a várias áreas temáticas, desde as políticas linguísticas no espaço dos países de língua oficial portuguesa, passando pela necessária problematização crítica do conceito de lusofonia, para chegar à imprensa, à história intelectual, do livro e da cultura, à edição, às artes e ao impacto da escrita feminina na compreensão do(s) pensamento(s) em língua portuguesa.

International Conference on «Literatures and Cultures in Portuguese Language», from 27-11-2019 to 28-11-2019, Instituto de Ciências da Educação de Luanda (ISCED-LUANDA)
Throughout history, humans have used different tools to promote and disseminate knowledge. Languages, the arts, literature and oral narratives have been some of the main elements of cultural production, circulation of ideas and transmission of memory.
In a joint action between CHAM – the Center for Humanitiesof NOVA FCSH-UAc, the ISCED – Luanda, and the Movimento Literário e Artístico Lev’ Arte, this conference, which pays tribute to the Angolan writers Ruy Duarte de Carvalho and António Jacinto, wishes to be a space of dialogue and construction of new international networks.
In this space, we’ll address contemporary cultural topics which are transversal to different thematic areas. The thematic range varies from the linguistic policies in Portuguese-speaking countries to the critical problematization of the concept of Lusophony, from the impact of the press and the medias to intellectual history, history of books and culture. Communications about publishing, the arts and the impact of women’s writing to the understanding of ideas which were, have been, or are still, expressed through the Portuguese language are also welcomed.
